Terms and conditions

This is a translation. The legally binding version is the German AGB.

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of E-Rechnung Pilot (erechnung-pilot.de), operated by Maxim Romanciuc, Republic of Moldova (the “provider”). The service is aimed primarily at businesses.

2. Services

E-Rechnung Pilot is browser-based software for viewing and creating electronic invoices in the XRechnung and ZUGFeRD / Factur-X formats. The free version includes the features and quotas listed on the pricing page. The Pro version unlocks additional features for the duration of the subscription.

Processing takes place locally in the browser. Users are responsible for backing up their data and for retaining the invoices they create in accordance with the law.

3. Contract and payment

Pro is purchased via the payment provider Lemon Squeezy, LLC, which acts as reseller (merchant of record). Its terms additionally apply to the purchase. After successful payment the user receives a license key.

4. Term and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen period (month or year) unless cancelled via the customer portal before the end of the period. After cancellation, Pro remains active until the end of the paid period.

5. Money-back guarantee

Within 14 days of the first purchase, the provider refunds the full purchase price upon informal request by e-mail.

6. License

A license key may be used by one person or company on up to three devices/browsers at the same time. Passing it on to third parties is not permitted.

7. Warranty and liability

The provider checks the generated files against the official validation rules. Users remain responsible for the correctness of their invoices' content (especially tax details). The software and guides do not constitute tax or legal advice.

The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slightly negligent breach of essential contractual obligations, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract, at most the fees paid in the last 12 months. Otherwise liability is excluded.

8. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
