Privacy policy

The legally binding version is the German Datenschutzerklärung.

In short: the invoices you open or create are processed exclusively in your browser. They are not transferred to us and not stored on our servers. We use no tracking cookies and no advertising networks.

1. Controller

2. Processing of invoice data in the browser

When you open an e-invoice (XML or PDF) or create an invoice, all processing takes place locally in your browser. The contents of files and forms are not transmitted to our server or to third parties.

So that you do not have to re-enter your company details, customers and recent invoices each time, they are stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data remains on your device; you can delete it at any time via your browser settings (“clear site data”). Legal basis: § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary for the service you requested) and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address, time, requested URL, user agent) to deliver the website and protect it against attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. Analytics

We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and builds no user profiles; only aggregated page views are measured. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

5. Purchase of Pro and license check

Pro is sold via Lemon Squeezy, LLC (222 S Main St, Salt Lake City, UT 84101, USA) acting as reseller (“merchant of record”). You enter your data (name, e-mail, payment details, billing address) directly with Lemon Squeezy; their privacy policy applies. We receive the data necessary to fulfil the contract (name, e-mail, order). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

When you activate a license key, it is sent via our server to Lemon Squeezy to check its validity. No invoice data is transmitted.

6. Contact by e-mail

If you contact us by e-mail, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
